Booking conditions
Apartments will be available clean, with beds made from 17:00 on the letting start date and it is expected that they will be vacated in a similar clean and tidy condition by 10:00 on the final letting day. Fees include normal end of let cleaning except kitchen area, utensils and dishes for which you are particularly responsible. If you have time it will be appreciated if sheets and pillow cases can be left loosely piled on a bed and towels in a shower room. In other words please leave the apartment as you found it except for towels and bed linen. If extra cleaning is necessary, charges will have to be passed on as a deduction from the security deposit.
Reservations require a non refundable £300 or 350€ booking administration fee that will be deducted from the final rental fee.
 
We do not anticipate difficulties but need to have procedures in place should any arise. Hence we are obliged to lay down the following terms of agreement to cover lettings.
 
BOOKING CONDITIONS
 
1. The properties known as "Skibelle apartments, Dôme de la Cochette, Saint Sorlin” (The Property) are offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by the individual owners to the renter ('the Client'). 
 
2. To reserve the Property, the Client should complete and sign a booking form and return it together with payment of the initial non-refundable booking administration fee (£300 or 350€). Following receipt of the booking form and reservation fee, the Owners will send a confirmation invoice and statement. This is the formal acceptance of the booking. In the event of the owner being unable to accept the booking the booking administration fee will not apply and will be immediately returned to the client.
 
3. The balance of the rental fee together with the security deposit (see clause 5) is payable not less than eight weeks before the start of the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date, the Owners reserve the right by giving notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled. The client will remain liable to pay the balance of the rent unless the Owners are able to re-let the Property. In this event, clause 6 of these booking conditions will apply. Reservations made within eight weeks of the start of the rental period require full payment at the time of booking. 
 
4. Chargeable expenses arising during the rental period should be settled with the Owner’s representative before departure. 
 
5. A security deposit of £500/600€ is required in case of, for example, damage to the property or its contents. However, the sum reserved by this clause shall not limit the Client's liability to the Owners. The Owners will account to the Client for the security deposit and refund the balance due within two weeks after the end of the rental period. Clients are not entitled to access the property until this security deposit is in the hands of the Owner or the Owner’s representative. This deposit may be provided by means of a cheque post dated to the first day of the rental period and may be sent along with the final payment.
 
6. Subject to clauses 2 and 3 above, in the event of a cancellation, refunds of amounts paid will be made if the Owner is able to re-let the 'Property' and any expenses or losses incurred in so doing will be deducted from the refundable amount. ( We recommend you arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy including cancellation cover and to have full cover for the party's personal belongings, public liability, rental liability, etc., since these are not covered by the Owner's insurance.) 
 
7. The rental period shall commence at 17.00 on the first day and finish at 10.00 am on the last day. The Owners shall not be obliged to offer the accommodation before the time stated and the Client shall not be entitled to remain in occupation after the time stated. 
 
8. The Client agrees to abide by the rules governing use of the Property. The Owners reserve the right to withdraw any facility following any misuse and without compensation. The Client shall take full responsibility for the safety of children and adults using the Property. 
 
9. The maximum number to reside in the Property must not exceed that stated on the booking form without prior consent from the owner. 
 
10. The Client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take good care of the Property and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. Although a final clean is included in our prices, the Owners reserve the right to make a retention from the security deposit to cover additional cleaning costs if the Client leaves the Property in an unacceptable condition. The Client also agrees not to act in any way that would cause a disturbance. Please note and respect that the apartments are all non-smoking areas.
 
11. The Client shall report to the Owners or their appointed representative without delay any defects in the Property or breakdown in the equipment, machinery or appliances in the Property and arrangements for repair and/or replacement will be made as soon as reasonably possible by the Owners or their appointed representative. 
 
12. The Owners will not be liable to the Client:
  1. for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the Property, nor in respect of any equipment, machinery or appliance in the property.
  2. for any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or other matters beyond the control of the Owners.
  3. for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the Client if the property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and in any such event, the Owners will, within seven days of notification to the Client, refund to the Client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period. 
 
13. Under no circumstances shall the Owners’ liability to the Client exceed the amount paid to the Owners for the rental period.
  
14. The Owners or their appointed representative reserve the right to enter the property at any time for the purpose of maintenance, inspection or in the event of an emergency. Whenever reasonably possible this will be done with the Client in attendance, although this is solely at the discretion of the Owners. 
 
15. In the unlikely event of a dispute, damage to the property or disagreement, the Owners reserve the right to terminate without notice any agreement or contract made with the Client. In such circumstances the Client agrees to vacate the property immediately if requested to do so by the Owners or their appointed representative. Under these circumstances no refunds will be made to the Client.
