Skibelle alpine holiday apartments
Skibelle is a group of privately owned apartments with a superb position in the traditional French mountain village of St Sorlin d’Arves, a major part of the Sybelles ski domain.
The Dôme de la Cochette was completed in 2006 and is a traditionally styled but modern building comprising 11 quality apartments.
The building has 4 floors, our group's apartments being on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd (top) floors.
Although the apartments enjoy a central position in the village, they are secluded from the road by village houses and have alpine grazing pasture behind.
Dôme de la Cochette has an adjacent exterior private parking lot with a covered designated place for each apartment. The apartments have either two bedrooms or three bedrooms, all bedrooms capable of sleeping two adults in full size beds (no living space bed settees or bunks in entrance halls!). All the apartments have at least two WCs and an external south facing balcony areas and a private ski/boot locker adjacent to the entrance lobby.
Ideally situated at the midpoint of the village, Dome de la Cochette is only 100 metres from the pistes. The 6 seater Choseaux chairlift is very close by and the rest of the lifts are easily accessible by skiing a short distance down the village pistes. Return to the apartments is equally simple, stopping off at the access point on the final descent either from higher slopes or the short drag from the village bottom. WARNING - if the beginners draglift is used from the bottom of the village you have to pass the Beau Soleil bar en route to your apartment!
The apartments are close to shops, creche, restaurants, the information centre, medical facilities, cash point, ski and equipment hire, lift pass office/distributor and ski school.
A daytime/early evening bus shuttle service operates throughout the ski season between the bottom and top of the village. This is free to all and stops nearby at the Tourist Office. To minimise road congestion service is limited or suspended Saturdays (changeover day).
